Mental Health in the Workplace
Most managers do not have the skills to deal with these complex personal situations – therefore often nothing is said, or done. In this insightful training program, you are not taught to be a Doctor or therapist; but you are given the skills to notice the signs that a team member might be struggling, and confidence to engage in a compassionate, and effective human-centered conversation.
Separate out the Performance issues from the Personal Issues
Through being authentically caring, you can begin to empower the person to seek assistance through an Employee Assistance Provider, their own Doctor or other relevant professional sources.

With 1 in 5 Australian adults experiencing a common mental illness each year, it’s likely there is a member of your team who is suffering right now. Mental Health First Aid (MFHA) training equips you with the practical skills to support someone with a mental health problem, and in times of crisis.
This course is not a therapy or support group. It is based on guidelines developed through the expert consensus of people with lived experience of mental health problems, and professionals.
